A wonderful, 1970s, modernist cocktail ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, that plays with the ideas of chaos and control. Here, our “chaos” is a luminous, baroque pearl with an elongated, organic shape. This natural white form shines with iridescence, thanks toa thick layer ofnacre— it lays atop a pair of highly-structured, overlapping, rectangular fields that are inlaid with vibrant blue slabs of lapis lazuli. Trios of graduating spires drop from these rectangular slabs, dotted with pairs of sparkling, star-like diamonds. This weighty, highly-controlledfabrication is the perfect foil for the ring's shimmering, organic pearl. The ring's flat, tapering shank isbuilt with a straight, hand-pierced shoulder (mirroring the spires decor) and a comfortable, fully-round interior. We love everything about this wild, modernist piece! It plays with blocky color, contrasting textures, and there is a nod to the architecture of the period, here. This ring provides excellent finger coverage (knuckle to knuckle), and it is very flattering in wear. Marked 14k for purity.
